Prenotations
One of the effects of teaching in a polytechnic art department was the exposure to diverse and experimental ways of approaching photography. Often using members of his own family, Prenotations consist of incongruous juxtapositions, visual metaphors and symbolic references that transcended the information that was in front of the camera at the time of exposure. They were ‘ordinary’ situations transformed into something ‘extra-ordinary’ and surreal by the creative use of precise framing, light and vantage point.
